Master Gardener Course: Preview

The Key West Garden Club recommends Monroe County Extension Service Presentations. Their next presentation will offer a preview session for the next Master Gardener Course for those of you who are gardening enthusiasts and have some time to volunteer in the community after becoming certified. Especially recommended for those who may be newer to the area, to learn all about the local plant life, make new friends, and be a part of the community! Or consider it a refresher for current practices if you are more experienced.

The upcoming preview session for the next Master Gardener Course will be Tuesday, August 11th at 4pm via Zoom. The event is also posted on their Facebook page and can be shared from there as well. Here is the link for the meeting: https://www.facebook.com/events/382526359377564/

Advance registration is required:

The Master Gardener course itself is set to start Thursday, September 17th and run through Thursday, November 19th. The majority of the training will be held online, with several in-person meet-ups following University guidelines for social distancing.

More information will be provided during the preview session. Please share with those that may be interested.

Additionally, if you need help identifying plants, insects, or problems in your yard, please send photos to
mastergardener@monroecounty-fl.gov

And remember the Garden is open Saturdays and Sundays, from 9:30am to 12:30pm. Come stroll around — our volunteers are safely working to keep it gorgeous!
